Since new iPad released, the rumors about iPad Mini has disappeared for a while, but because of Nexus 7, now people start to talk about iPad mini again. Bloomberg has confirmed that iPad mini will come in October, priced $249-299. So for anyone who thinks new iPad is kind of expensive, will you buy an iPad mini?
The new model will have a screen that’s 7 inches to 8 inches diagonally, less than the current 9.7-inch version, said the people, who asked not to be identified because Apple hasn’t made its plans public. The product won’t have the high-definition screen featured on the iPad that was released in March, one of the people said.

This device will be made, again according to these same sources, to help “maintain dominance of the tablet market as Google Inc. and Microsoft Corp. prepare competing handheld devices.” Whether or not this has anything to do with the comments made earlier this week by Bill Gates on how Apple will have to make a response to the Microsoft Surface is still unknown.
So you see, everything is about competition, but that gets nothing to do with us, what we consumers concern is if we need it and if we should buy it.
